Faculty Biographies

Terkimbi Ibunde

Facilitator

Terkimbi has over 20 years combined experience in Oil and Gas industry as well as in the provision of Assurance, Taxation, Advisory, and Consulting services.
He worked with both the Nigerian and US offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) between 1997 and 2005. He joined Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) in 2005 and held several local and regional (Nigeria and Gabon) Finance leadership roles.
As Finance Manager, Deep Water Projects, he managed the delivery of a key Shell Oil and Gas project at significantly lower costs than budget. The delivery of this project has become a benchmark for project management by the National Oil Company (NOC) in Nigeria. He also led the redesign of SNEPCo’s business finance processes to improve process efficiency and standardization.
His specializations include Assurance, Business Transformation, Petroleum Fiscal Systems, Commercial Contract Management and Exploration and Production specific accounting and finance.
Terkimbi holds a B.Sc. Accounting degree from the University of Calabar and an MBA from the Warwick Business School, UK. He is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

CEPHAS CALEB, MCIArb

Facilitator

Cephas is a legal practitioner with diverse experience that cuts across dispute resolution and corporate practice areas. He provides legal advisory services at notably high level of complexity, and legal representation to several multinational and local companies on various aspects of Nigerian law. He regularly interfaces with key regulators and advices on regulatory and compliance issues.
Cephas graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He attended the Nigerian Law School, Abuja and was called to the Nigerian Bar. He is the recipient of several academic prizes including the Prince Bola Ajibola Prize for the Best Student in Civil Procedure, awarded by the Nigerian Law School; Dr. Mudiaga Odje Prize for the Best Student in Criminal Procedure and Civil Procedure, awarded by the Nigerian Law School, and Bankole Olumide Aluko Memorial Scholarship Award, awarded by the law firm of Aluko & Oyebode to the best graduating law students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; University of Nigeria, Nsukka; and, University of Lagos.
Cephas is the author of a research work titled: “Analysis of the Right of Access to Information under Nigerian Law” (ABU, 2014). He is a Member of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators U. K. He is also a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Dindam Killi

Facilitator

Dindam Killi is a Senior Associate with Aluko & Oyebode. Dindam is also a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. His practice areas include litigation, arbitration, corporate/commercial law, oil & gas and intellectual property.
Dindam has a penchant for dispute resolution and solving complex legal matters. He particularly enjoys untangling the most complicated issues, leaving his clients thoroughly satisfied. His practice typically involves
regular appearances before several courts including the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice, the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
In one particular landmark case, Deyda Hydara Jnr & 2 Others v. Republic of The Gambia, he represented the family of a brutally murdered popular Gambian journalist in proceedings instituted before the Community Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) against the Gambian government. In a widely reported judgment delivered in 2014, the ECOWAS court granted the Applicants’ reliefs.
His representation of corporate clients includes a giant Spanish oil company in an arbitration resulting from the termination of a contract with a Nigerian oil company, and a global ICT solutions provider in an action for the recovery of over N1.6 billion in proceedings before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. He currently represents a multinational oil company in arbitration enforcement proceedings in different
Nigerian courts and has also provided expert opinion in proceedings before an Australian Court on the enforcement of foreign judgments in Nigeria.

Brief Summary: Armiyau Umaru Baba is the Head of Finance and Accounts Department (CFO) at the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Abuja, Nigeria.
Armiyau had trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a firm of Accountants in the United Kingdom. He later made a move to the Public Sector in 2003 when he joined the PTDF and was at different times in charge of the Finance Unit as well as the Finance and Treasury Division of the Agency. In his present role as Head of Finance & Accounts Department, he oversees the Finance, Accounts and Budget Divisions of the Agency.
He has a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wales, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow
(FCCA) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom and also a Fellow
(FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is also an Associate member(ACTI) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and a member of the International Dispute Resolution Institute(MDRI).
